Mr. Lee holds a Masters of Public Administration, University of La Verne and a Bachelors of Science in Urban and Regional Planning, California State University Polytechnic University Pomona.
Mr. Mike Lee is a Senior Managing Director of Kosmont Realty and is a licensed agent. Mr. Lee has over 29 years of public sector experience; and recently served as the City Manager for the City of Moreno Valley. A primary focus of Mr. Lee’s career has been economic development with a distinctive reputation and proven track record of transforming the economies of cities in California. He is widely regarded and respected as an economic development professional and is a frequent presenter for real estate and government organizations. Mr. Lee has negotiated over 400 development related agreements and is a leader in public-private connectivity. He has a long list of accomplishments spanning his tenure in Pomona, CA (1996 to 1999) and City of West Covina (1999 to 2015) where he served as Assistant City Manager and Community Development Commission Director.
- Aquabella Town Center project – Negotiated Development and Community Benefit Agreement for the largest residential mixed-use project in Riverside County; over 690 acres with 15,000 residential units, commercial retail development, high end hotel with developer obligated community benefits of senior center, 80-acre regional park, new police and fire infrastructure.
- World Logistic Center – Negotiated Development Agreement for the largest industrial business corporate business park in California; over 2,700 acres with 40.6 million square feet of industrial space.
- West Covina Sportsplex and Commercial Center project – Successfully negotiated Purchase and Sale Agreements for acquisition of 230 acres property and a 50-acre land lease for the development of a commercial shopping center anchored by Home Depot and Target, Big League Dream Sports Facility, and office development on a former landfill site.
Mr. Lee is a Real Estate Agent licensed by the State of California Department of Real Estate (DRE No. 01878835). He is a member of: International City/County Management Association (ICMA), International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC), and former ICSC Public Sector Southern California (Chair), Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP Inland Empire) – former Board Member, California Association of Local Economic Development (CALED).
